Need To Reinstall VBox Regularly
How do I reinstall VirtualBox on Windows 10?
Install VirtualBox, create a standard VM, find your Windows 10 installation media, point your new VM to it, and get to work. That's just how VirtualBox works. @Jos You can post this as an answer now. This is probably the easiest way to use your virtualization from the standard repository.
I'm playing openSUSE 11.2 x64 and using KDE 4.3 as my desktop. My VBox guest is XP.
I regularly encounter the fact that I have to remove and reinstall VBox (22.214.171.124467), after which everything works fine, as if nothing had happened (i.e. you don’t need to reconnect your own VDI - it works without additional intervention).
This is a sporadic problem that occurs even after a host reboot, but not always. Of course, I attached the latest firewood file.

I don't see a description of the error. Why do you suggest reinstalling VBox from time to time? What won't work if you don't reinstall?

Nothing works at all - maybebut, I can't get the GUI to start my current VM. Reinstalling gives me a GUI and everything is as usual - until the next time it does not start at all.

Can't be recreated. Have you ever tried VBox 3.1.2? They say that at some point the VBox GUI will refuse to start. Any idea what moves you made before the VBox became unusable? What happens if you try to start the GUI manually, e.g. Are you logging into VirtualBox in a critical window?
